Drayton Florence signs with Bills, Cromartie to Rams dream is finished!
With news coming through that Drayton Florence has agreed a 2 year deal with the Buffalo Bills for $6.6m, the rumours that Antonio Cromartie might be traded can stop.
As unlikely as the Chargers actually trading Cromartie was, the reason for the rumours was the possible signing of Florence. San Diego GM A.J. Smith even came out to state categorically that Cromartie is not on the trading block. Looks like the Cromartie to Rams chatter is over.
It was a slight pipe dream to envisage a Bartell, Cromartie, Atogwe & Butler* defensive backfield, but eternal optimism is a good thing!
*Butler has yet to sign with the Rams, but looks likely to do so.
