Rams Offseason Update
Over the past 24 hours there has been a few stories that will be of note to Rams fans (other than the earlier reported Tory Holt news)…
Rumoured target, Buccs corner Philip Buchanon has signed with Detroit in a two-year deal for $8.5m. This is probably not too much of a big deal seeing as the Rams re-signed Ron Bartell and St Louis still have other, more pressing areas to address.
Texas Tech wideout, Micheal Crabtree, has had successful surgery on the fracture in his foot. The injury has one of the biggest talking points at the NFL Combine and it was reported that Crabtree would wait till after his Pro-Day workout for surgery, but that turned out not to be the case. He will enter the NFL Draft without running or working out for scouts but should remain a top 10 pick.
The Dallas Cowboys have cut Terrell Owens leaving him free to cause controversy wherever he ends up. Most people are leaping to the conclusion that he will probably become a Raider, but personally, I can see Denver taking a pop at him. They are known for splashing cash in free agency, and what better way to appease Cutlerfucker than to unite T.O and Baby T.O??? With Holt looking like he’s heading for the door I’m sure some bright spark will link the Rams to T.O, especially as OC Pat Shurmur and HC Steve Spagnuolo were in Philly when Owens was, but it really REALLY is a no-go for numerous reasons!
