Where do we go from here?
Many commentators have seized upon the Front Office’s release of Orlando pace as a clear indication that the rams will look to add an Offensive Tackle with their pick at 1.2 in the Draft. However, Billy Devaney’s comments during a radio interview last night indicate that by moving Alex Barron to LT and installing Jacob Bell as the RT, the Rams are not tied to Monroe or J.Smith.
Mike Sando thinks that the Rams have ‘shown their hand’ so to speak and VanRam agrees.
I can certainly see where they are coming from and I would have to believe they might be right, but if when the final grades come in Aaron Curry is a clear #1, it will be tough for Devaney to pass on him, no matter what. Our big board has been created for a reason and I certainly get the feeling that we will at least attempt to use a ‘best player available’ strategy in April.
In other news, re-sign CB Ron Bartell says that he can see a ‘light at the end of the tunnel’.
Bartell commented, “There was no way I was coming back with management the way it was” and “Now it seems like everybody is on the same page and you have a direction.”
